EAP 615 WALL - bug - if eth1 turned off wifi speed drops to 10 Mbps
EAP 615 WALL - bug - if eth1 turned off wifi speed drops to 10 Mbps

After some tests we identified that when the eth1 port of the eap615-wall is disabled, the wifi speed in speed tests starts at 10 Mbps and drops to 0 in a few seconds. With the eth1 port activated, the wifi speed remains normal, in our case, approximately 600 Mbps. The bug does not happen with the eth2 and eth3 ports, only with the eth1 port disabled. I believe a Firmware fix is necessary.

I did the update on the 89 EAP615s we have, I tested it on at least 15 of them and it didn't present the problem when the eth1 port is disabled. If the situation changes, I will post again in this topic. Thanks.

I ran a few more test using iperf and the issue appears to be when eth1 is disabled and the wlan forwards packets to eth0. The wlan and eth0 connections worked normally when isolated.
WLAN Device: Phone Connected to EAP615-Wall AP
LAN Device: TP-Link AP connected to switch which is also connected to EAP615-Wall eth0 port

Hi @Grigoletto @D-C
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
May I know if you have any VLAN settings for your networks? If yes, would you mind sharing with us the VLAN settings here? It will be better to reply with screenshots of your VLAN settings. Thank you in advance.

@Vincent-TP, on the 615, eth1 has a dummy/unused VLAN and no VLANs on eth2 or eth3 ports (disabled). I have multiple SSID mapped to VLANs and all of these are tagged members on the switch port connected to the AP. The management VLAN is set on the 615 and is also a tagged member on the switch port. The Native Network and untagged member on the switch port is just another dummy/unused VLAN. My perf test used the management VLAN.
