I have come across this issue recently with two separate networks. I had an existing software controller set up with only APs. When I attempted to adopt a new Omada router that was previously configured to the controller, it basically broke the network because the settings in the controller take precedence and my LAN settings on the router were different. Worse yet, this happened while I was remote. Stupid me for not setting it up right, but come on...the controller software should be smart enough to identify the different WAN or LAN settings and at least warn you before adopting the router. Better yet, it should ask if you want to use the Controller WAN/LAN configuration or existing router WAN/LAN.
