Hi All, 
We recently upgraded our cameras and NVR to the VIGI series devices. 

The devices are working better than expected, however, I was wondering if anyone knows of an API for the NVR or Cameras that I can utilize to automate some other security/deterent  devices we have? 
Reason for this question: We have a light that is connected to a motion sensor that is switching on whenever there is motion, the problem with this being we would prefer it only switches on if a human is close to it. 
I have been very impressed with the success rate of human detections on the VIGI cameras and would like to use the human detection alarms as a way to switch on the light. Even if we can get the human detection on ONVIF It would help

We do not have any docs on the VIGI API.

This is not available yet.

 

If you tend to place bulk orders and customize your VIGI firmware and require OpenAPI, please contact the sales team regarding this. The customized firmware requires bulk order as the prerequisite.

I bought 8 VIGI cameras, does that count as bulk? Can I have the open API specs please. I'd like to be able to switch on or off intruder alert for all the cameras installed so that I can switch them off when we're home and on when we're out. Although your scheduling feature is great, but i need to have switch on/off on demand for all cameras at ounce.

What is considered a bulk order?

You can contact the local team regarding this. I do not decide what's the bulk order but usually, from the past experience, it is not.

OpenAPI has been planned and put on schedule but I don't see any news about it for a long time. Not sure the reason why.


There is also no public beta or early access for the API yet.

In the past, what we consider as bulk, is usually getting hundreds of them. I am not sure if this fits to your local team.

But if the firmware requires customization, we do not offer such help. The arrangement is done by the local team where they request firmware for the customers.

 

On the forum, we do not offer a choice for customized firmware. We do not provide any sort of guarantee or information about the customization. This is done by the local team and contacting your local sales team regarding this as you have more units than usual customers.
