Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

Hi,

Since several years (since I upgraded to EAP245(EU)_V4_1.2.0 Build 20230417), I see random devices that becomes blocked while being known MAC.

Expected: the white listed mac are not filtered

Observed : some white listed mac are randomely.

Notes:

- this occurs randomely and various devices, perhaps once a week. I cannot find a rational for this to happen nor a way to reproduce.

Hopefully, two differents workarounds can be used from the admin website :

- 1) Unset 'Enable Mac filtering' -> save and re-enable it again (without reboot) seems to be enough.

- 2) Remove and re-add the mac address (no reboot required).

For example, this occured yesteday :

while this mac is white-listed :

I hoped that 1.3.1 would fix it but it is not the case so I open this thread.

This is very annoying.

Any idea ?

Hi  @4dhrys

What kind of clients are there in the network?

If you don't mind, please try to manage the EAP with the Omada SDN controller and see if the issue persists.

Hi  @Vincent-TP :  Not sure what you mean by 'kind' of clients. we have:

- printers

- PC laptops

- ioT devices like webcams or home theater

- Smartphones (Android and iPhone)...

The issue I report here occured on several different smartphones and at least one laptop.

OK, thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a try at Omada SDN controller (on a local installation as I'm not very fond of cloud systems for privacy reasons).
