Model: TL-SG3210XHP-M2
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: v2.0

Hi,

bought an TL-SG3210XHP-M2 for work and upon powering it up for the first time only the PWR led came on while others remain off. That was the case even when leaving the switch to boot for 10min.

Also connected the switch to a router to see if there was any life, but there was nothing.

Decided to connect the USB console port to my computer and got this log message:

Begin to startup system, please wait a moment...
 error!
Bad hash value for 'hash@1' hash node in 'kernel@1' image node
Bad Data Hash
ERROR: can't get kernel image!
The kernel has been damaged!

Please put the uimage.img into the tftpserver directory
You can press CTRL-C to stop loading
mvEgigaInit: egiga0 mvNetaPortEnable failed (error)
mvEgigaInit: egiga0 failed
mvEgigaInit: egiga1 mvNetaPortEnable failed (error)
mvEgigaInit: egiga1 failed
Download failed

I tried to get the "4 - Active backup Image" to run but was not able to with the same message as above showing.

Boot Menu
0  - Print this boot menu
1  - Reboot
2  - Reset
3  - Start
4  - Activate Backup Image
5  - Display image(s) info
6  - Password recovery

Is there something that can be done to bring the switch back to life?

  Hi @Clive_A ,

it was not booting up out of box. Initially when I plugged wall power the fans spun to 100% and no LEDs apart from PWR were lighting up.

Later I connected the USB to the console port and got the error that I mentioned in my previous post.

Did not try to do any Firmware updates on the device.

Direct RMA is the correct way.
