Model: EAP610
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have Spectrum internet wired to my barndominium. Needless to say, because of all of the metal in the building, I had to add 2 access points at different places to have wifi.

The Router is a Spectrum supplied router. I have 2 WiFi6 access points mounted. (Model EAP610)

The Spectrum router is connected to a 16 port switch, which has hard wired connection to several devices. I also have an 8 port switch that is fed from the 16 port switch.

The 2 access points are wired to the 8 port switch, both which have PoE adapters on them.

The problem I have is when I am in another part of the house, I have to manually switch my wifi to the access points. I know there must be a way to have this seamless--I'm just not smart enough.

To add another problem to this, the Acess Points are mounted 16' up near the ceiling, so access to them is limited to get any information off of them.

HELP, please

Hi  @divelaso

You may refer to the following steps to use the fast roaming feature:

1. use an Omada controller to manage the two EAP units:

How to Adopt Omada Devices via Omada Controller

2. create a SSID WLAN network. (Site view > Settings > Wireless Networks > WLAN);

3. Enable fast roaming. (Site View > Settings > Site > Enable Advanced Features > Enable Fast Roaming)
