Media Converter on a SFP+ Line

Hello, i am wondering if i can use a media converter i.e. MC2010cs to convert a signal coming from a SFP+ port or is it mandatory to use it on both sides ?

Not mandatory.

Media converter is simply convert the signal. And you can use it single.
