STP security features won't enable
Hi all
I'm trying to enable from the OC200's port profiles the BPDUGuard, but if i log into switch via SSH with "sh spann interface-s" command i see all (except for BPDU-Flood) in disabled state.
but i have a "test" profile with BPDU Protect flagged
also the "Edge Port" flag is useless....
is it the same for you?
i also don't understand the meaning of the lags if options are supported but cannot be implemented.
i'm using OC200 as omada (v5.14.26.23) controller with 1.31.3 Build 20240620 Rel.80383

Hi @JustVlado
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
I have tried on my end and I got the same result. It could be the firmware has not adapted to the latest Controller.
I will confirm this with the test team as well.
Please note that this will involve an adapted firmware, not just a controller update. Firmware development is a complex process, and timelines may change. Therefore, we cannot provide a specific release date at this time.
Updated:
Situation now:
Currently, the QoS and STP in Profile only apply to the L3 switch. L2+ is not supported. The function now aims for L3 models.
We will add a note to the configuration page to specify that the config is not effective for L2+ models.
Plan:
Future plan is to optimize and add support for L2+ models, this is scheduled for next year.
Workaround:
You can consider the CLI template to configure it now.
Disclaimer:
When introducing a feature like this, we typically apply it uniformly across all models to ensure consistency and a seamless user experience.
However, it's essential to acknowledge that hardware limitations may exist, which might prevent us from adding the feature to certain models. In such cases, we cannot provide individual notifications explaining the reason. Please note that we cannot guarantee the fulfillment of all requests, and we must set clear expectations upfront.
