The lab 1 test is simple, it's almost plug and play. But the lab test may be a bit complicated for starters, especially the one who haven't touched GPON OLT configuration before.

As I see, TP-LINK OLT is from their ISP brand Aginet. The OLT configuration is very similar as Nokia/HUAWEI, very flexible, but may be difficult if comparing with UBNT OLT. But different people may have a different opinion about this. The good point is that the OLT configuration in standalone mode and Omada Controller managed mode is quite identically. If you can master one of type of configuration, you will know how to config it in the other mode. Hope TP-LINK in future achieve a balance between functionalites and easy-of-use.

 Enjoy it!

Thanks for give these information.

For setting up an Omada GPON lab, make sure you have the following:

  1. GPON ONT and OLT: Ensure you have the correct Omada GPON ONT (Optical Network Terminal) and OLT (Optical Line Terminal) devices.

  2. Configuration: Follow the Omada setup guide to configure the OLT and ONT devices properly. Make sure your firmware is up-to-date.

  3. Network Topology: Connect your ONT to the OLT via fiber optic cables, and then connect the OLT to your network equipment as needed.

  4. Testing: Verify the setup by checking connectivity and performance between your ONT and OLT.

If you run into specific issues, providing detailed information or error messages can help in troubleshooting.
