Model: EAP670
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.14 Build 20240130 Rel. 80405(4555)

Hello,

  • My network DHCP is managed by OPNSense.
  • OPNsense provides the DNS service for all my home networks.
  • The client list on my tp-link EAP670 does not seem to use the networks' gateways dns for resolving names.

Is there some way to tell it to use the network gateway as the DNS for each SSID/Network?
I am using a vlan per SSID.

Cheers...

OPNSense has the dhcp server, this is where you make the settings. The EAP670 only forwards the information to the client from OPNSense. if you have problems with OPNSense dhcp, you should go to an OPNSense forum and ask.

Hi  @banksiaboy

What DNS servers do the EAP's wireless clients actually get?

Which page did you refer to when you mentioned "the client list on my tp-link EAP670" . A screenshot will be better to understand.

BTW, you mentioned the SSID has bound VLAN, is this issue happening on all the VLANs or certain VLANs?
