Solution SG2005P-PD PoE Budget Display Incorrectly Under 802.3 bt PoE++
This Article Applies to:
SG2005P-PD
Issue Description/Phenomenon:
A few users reported that they use the PoE 802.3 bt adapter to supply power to the SG2005-PD, but it does not get the proper power budget in the Omada Controller GUI.
Available Workaround/Solution:
We have located the problem that this is because the switch was previously supplied by the 802.3 af/at power.
When it is supplied with 802.3 af/at PoE or PoE+, it will get a PoE budget number. When you switch to an 802.3 bt POE++, the previous PoE budget number will remain.
Workaround:
To fix this, you can click Foget and readopt the switch. This might clear your settings on the switch.
Or you can click Force Provision. (Recommended)
This will display the correct PoE budget afterward.
Solution:
A new firmware has been released to address this issue. Download of the firmware.
