I tried to set up a star topology today with more than 4 downlink mesh AP's, and got the error message: The downlink AP number of the uplink AP has reached the limit. Is there some way around this without introducing another hop? T

Two ways I can think of:

1. Add another root AP

2. Back to back two AP's in the field with a cable.  You can take that opportunity to set the slave AP's 5.8G freq to a different one to improve overall performance
