Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.2.0

Hello,

I recently got the 2.2.0 firmware of ER605 which now includes ACL support for IPv6. This is great news, and I was able to confirm that I am able to create IPv6 firewall rules.

However, I found that the firewall rules do not seem to take effect. At this point, I need to point out that I am using "passthrough" mode for IPv6. This is the only way I am able to get internet-routable IPv6 with my ISP's provided ONU.

This might be a stupid question, so forgive me: do firewall ACL rules not work when in passthrough? I know the word "passthrough" implies that firewall rules may be bypassed, but I have read about other routers with a passthrough mode where the firewall still works.

Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

I'm having this problem as well on the last 2.2.2 version. I've also updated the Omada controller to the latest. FWIW, I am also using pass-through (bridge) mode. It's the only way I can get internet routeable IPv6
