Is it possible that the "Add "Certificate + Account" mode for OpenVPN." feature added in ER605 V1_1.2.3_Build 20230413 Beta Firmware For Trial (Released on Apr 14th, 2023) can be updated into the latest firmware for ER7212PC Controller?

The current controller version 5.8.22 does not allow to add a VPN profile with certificate and account mode.

  @Hank21 but it take way to much time, you sell this as "Omada 3-in-1 Gigabit VPN Router" but this is not an VPN router, missing corect OpenVPN mode with Certificate + Account, missing Wireguard... there is not modern VPN in this router.

Why all other routesr from Omada series have this options and this one do not? This is silly, we bought this router to upgrade our network, new AP, new switch

we worked all day to replace devices in network, new access points, new rack, new switch. We connect everything.. we start to configure networks and suddenly find out that there are no functions in OpenVPN to work properly, and wireguard is not available at all.

This is unacceptable if you are selling hardware, new hardware should have at least the same features as its predecessors, if they are missing they should be added without delay. And here the months go by and you just ignore the customers.

We need date, exact date when this will be fixed.

  @Hank21

We bought into the Omada Ecosystem on the promise of VPN Support. This "VPN-Router" supports only L2PT and PPTP, both outdated, insecure and out of use for years. Because of regulations we can't even legally use these. You market OpenVPN support when the product does not support OpenVPN at all. The product does support excatly zero ways to use it for VPN. NONE. TP-Link is blatently lying on the marketing material and packaging of the product. We are out of the return window but will return the hardware anyways for delivering a product which does not offer the advertised capabilities.

"we recommend exploring alternative solutions that may meet your needs."

Don't advertise your not VPN capable product as a VPN-Router when it does not support a single VPN standard used in the last decade.

How could this happen to your premium Omada line? Even the most basic TP-Link routers support OpenVPN Account + Password, with per device assignment to clients, but the premium line VPN-Router does NOT support VPN?
