Model: TL-ER5120
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.8 Build 20140212 Rel.36037

I have 2 robustel 4G routers #1, #2.

I configure 2 WAN interfaces on ER5120 WAN#1 and WAN#2

I connect robustel #1 to WAN#1 of ER5120 and i can ping from ER5120 to robustel#1 and vice versa.

But when i connect robustel #2 to WAN#2 of ER5120, i cannot ping from ER5120 to robustel#2.

The error message on ER5120 when using the diagnostic tool of ER5120: The IP address of current port cannot be got, please check and try again.

Neither can i ping from robustel#2 to ER5120.

This is my setup:

ER5120

System mode : Classic

WAN#1 ip 192.168.0.10 (static ip)

default gateway 192.168.0.1

WAN#2 ip 192.168.2.10 (static ip)

default gateway 192.168.2.1

Robustel#1 ip 192.168.0.1

Robustel #2 ip 192.168.2.1

Is there any other settings in ER5120 i need to enable for the WAN#2 port to function?

I did some checks using Maintenance->Diagnostics:

1. When i connect Robustel#1 to WAN#1, it shows "WAN1 : WAN is online". When I connect Robustel#2 to WAN#2, it shows "WAN 2: Online detection failed"

2.If i now disconnect Robustel#1 from WAN#1 it shows "WAN1 : physical connection is off", and "WAN 2: WAN is online".

How come i cannot simultaneously connect 2 ISP routers to TL-ER5120?

It seems like here is the IP conflict in your network.

Suggest you change the ER5120 LAN IP to another subnet to test, for example 192.168.10.1/24.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.

Thanks. I solved the issue due to a conflict of rules in the 4g wireless router. I have another question regarding port triggering feature.is it the same as port forwarding ?

  @JackyBek

Hi,

To troubleshoot the issue with the second WAN port (WAN#2) on your TL-ER5120 router in ClassicClassic mode, here are a few suggestions:

  1. Verify physical connections.
  2. Check IP configuration for WAN#2.
  3. Confirm robustel#2 router configuration.
  4. Enable WAN#2 interface in TL-ER5120 settings.
  5. Consider updating the router's firmware.

If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact technical support for further assistance.

Best regards,
