Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Unknown

I have an unused EAP 225 I am trying to install in a network of them.

The device powers up over PoE at my desk. And at other APs when i swap them.

The cable i am plugging into is providing power, the old UniFi AP powers up, and a YealinkT21P powers up fine.

No EAP 225s will power up on this cable.

What am i missing?

Thank you

  @MJPulask33

The first thing that would jump to my mind is that either the cable run is too long and the POE power isnt sufficent for the EAP225 (but ok for older devices)... or..  the POE switch you are using doesnt support the AF / AT standards..

Are you using an injector (what brand?) or a switch to power this?

  @MJPulask33

One more concern is the PoE mode, tplink EAP only supports mode A.

I copy it from wiki:

Thank you for the replys.

I have spent far to long trying to figure out the Mode of the Switch it should be connected to, but cant find it, looks like i am crawling into crawl spaces.

I do have an injector but am trying to avoid its use, it is the one that came with the 225. I may just give up on this location and mount it on a wall, then use the injector.

Cable length may be an issue. I have no idea how these where run.

More tests, will render feedback. Thank you.
