TP-Link TL-SG108E: Is the VLAN function secure?
Hi,
I need a switch capable of creating VLAN.
TL-SG108E is the top item when I search for switches in Amazon.
However, a review says this switch is "unable to adjust the management VLAN and the management IP address is accessible for every VLAN on the switch through VLAN1 regardless of the configuration".
Is this still true as of today?

TP LInk / Omada by default allow any new VLAN to have access to the LAN (default 1 vlan) at the creation
This can then be locked down via ACLs as you feel necessary
Some manufacturers do it the other way round, block first then allow via ACL... no real benefit either way tbh

@Reguna VLANs are not intended to replace access control lists or firewalls.

it's up to you how to define secure.
vlan can somehow block from layer 2 data link. people advertise vlan can add extra network security. it can do that.
