Ok so I am having a few problems with my setup that desperatley need some help with. I have a ER605 gigbit router (v1) with omada OC200 cloud controler, 1 EAP66600, and 2 EAP245. I have ensured all items are updated to the latest firmware.

My ISP uses Arris modem, it is bridged for our static IP, and the Wan port 1 of my router is confiured properly to work with my assigned static IP. The router in the controller is in a perpetual loop - Heartbeat missed - adopting - provinsioning - connected (This loop happens every few minutes). when this loop happens only wireless clients loose internet acesss, my hardwired connections are solid. So the router does not seem to reboot, and the time online for the device in the controler is correct to the other devices.

Now for the strange part. While trying to chase down this issue and decipher whether it is an issue with the router or my ISP modem, I had an old D-link router that was used previously to me upgradeing the network. I configured Wan2 of the ER605 for DHCP failover, connected a line from the 605 to the dlink, and the dlink's wan port configured to static ip and connected to the ISP modem. The perpetual loop still contiunes, but now it is roughly every 7-10 minutes, but not loss of internet for any clients wireless or wired.

The other oddity logged in locally to the controller it does not show the gateway stats, but login via the cloud gateway is dispalyed along with stats.

Anyone able to provide some help.

@Slowjoe6969

After a few hours with no one in the office, I found the culprit. In a closet someone installed an old router as a switch, this router's DHCP range was the same as the ER605. I have removed the rouge device and installed a proper switch and this has solved the issues of the ER605 in a perpetual loop.

May I have the detailed firmware version of your Omada devices?

How are these devices connected in your setup?

@Fae

The firmware versions are as follows;

OC200 - 5.0.29

ER605 - 1.1.1

EAP245's - 5.03

EAP600 - 1.0.0

All the devices are connected with new Cat6 cable (tested and verified with a cable tester, done early on to verify not a bad cable) the ER605 one lan port feeds a 24 port managed Aruba switch, another lan port feeds a TP-link unmanaged POE 5 port switch with powers the AP, and the Cloud controller. Everyhting is protected by a UPS to ensure consistant and safe power. switching the cables between the lan ports makes no change to how the system functions

We have tried isolating each POE device to it's own POE injector, the cloudn controller we switched to usb power on the back as well for troublshooting. but none of these make any changes to the way the equipment functions.
