Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

Each day I'm getting about ten alerts like this:

[Failed]TL-R605: PPTP Account x.x.x.x failed to log in because the username or password is wrong.

...which is a bit annoying and I'm also concerned about safety. Is there a way I can block the attacker's IP on WAN? Either automatically (let's say after 3 failed attempts) or manually. I need a VPN, so switching it off is unfortunately not an option.

@ZdenekM PPTP refer to the VPN settings. If you don't need the VPN server, just disable the PPTP VPN server on Controller--Settings-->VPN.

@Somnus Thanks for the response. I confused two things and updated the original question to make it clear :-)

Upps it looks like a topic is already discussed here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/511534
