Model: TL-SG108E
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20201208 Rel.40304

Can someone help me with this . I am getting crazy because of this issue .

Current Topology:

Requirement :

  1. Cisco switch is gateway for all vlans.
  2. Port 1  of TP-LINK SG108E is uplink and all vlans are tagged.
  3. Port 2-7 on TP-LINK SG-108E is for internet vlan where my PC and laptops connects.
  4. Port 8 on TP-LINK SG-108E is for Server vlan where my server connects.
  5. I want my PC and laptops to be able share files between them. ( PING should work between devices in same vlan)
  6. I want PC and Latop to ping gateway 192.168.254.1 which is on Cisco switch.
  7. Server should also ping its gateway 192.168.255.1 which is on Cisco Switch

Configuration Snapshot:

Problem:

  1. My laptop and PC can reach gateway which is 192.168.254.1 but cannot ping each other.
  2. When connect laptop and PC to Cisco switch they can ping each other.
  3. Devices on same vlan cannot ping each other on TP-LINK switch.

@Mir1218

This switch from TP seems to be a simple layer 2 easy smart switch, and there is nothing wrong with looking at your VLAN settings on it.
The problem is more like on layer 3, actually maybe you can see if there are any settings on your Cisco that are problematic?

For example, is the port that connects to the TP a Trunk port?

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.

Yep it is trunk port. And I dont think problem is with cisco switch because when I connect two machines on same layer 2 vlan they could not communicate. ############# switchport mode trunk switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport trunk allowed vlan all no shut ###############
