Region : Italy

Model : TL-ER5120

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version :

ISP : fastweb

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, just brought for my company a 5120 and need some help for the configuration.

ISP: cable 100M connection with dinamic IP.
1 VOIP PBX, 1 DECT SIP base, 1 WIFI router, 1 switch + computers and tablets.

I would like to keep the telephony on a 192.168.5.0 class and put the rest on 192.168.1.0. (this is a suggestion from the company that sold me the PBX).
Telephony should have internet access for VOIP and phone apps.
The 5120 and the router are not close but I have 2 cat6 cables for the connection.
Any suggestion?
Thanks.

Ok, I'll try to be more clear.

I need the 5120 to manage two different private ip classes 192.168.1.xxx and 192.168.5.xxx and let the devices connected access internet via the same wan, is it possible?
I guess I'll need to have 2 NAT, right?

hi willone,
you can enable DMZ port. then you can assign two different subnets, for example, LAN port : 192.168.5.0,, DMZ port :192.168.1.0
all ports can go to internet, hope it can help you!

Thank you Peter,

your suggestion sounds good. I'll try this.
Wile waiting for a help I tried to contact TPLINK Italy support and they told me that the 5120 has only one LAN interface...

So you don't think 5120 is able to handle two private ip classes on the same lan and route it to different wans according to the class?
