Hello everyone, I have a question for everyone.

I'm planning to extend my WiFi over the vineyard for the connection of a meteo station.

The meteo station is aprox. 88meters frome where the antenna will be installed.

If is possible I olso would like to extend the WiFi on all the red area (or more) maybe I can Have some problem in the blue aera where the building can obstruct the repeater signal.

In the first time I've seen the cpe710 but for what I've read is for more longhest distance.

Can you share with me some great solution? multi ssdi repeater will be preferable.

Thanks for the support

@Forna91fi

If you want to extend the WiFi on all the red area (or more), you should have a look at EAP225-Outdoor instead of CPE.

CPE is designed for long distance point to point connection, CPE710 has a narrow coverage[9° (Azimuth)/7° (Elevation)], not an ideal solution for you.

EAP225-Outdoor also supports multi-SSID, and even more powerful, it's dual-band and omnidirectional.

@Forna91fi

You have to connect PC to CPE to install it.

what mode do you like to use CPE on the remote the meteo station, Client mode? If so, you can set up Client CPE in your house, and then relocated it.

I rechecked your situation, if you just want point to point connection, you should use CPE, if you want an outdoor Wi-Fi coverage for mobile devices, you should get EAP225.

@Virgo the problem is that I want an hybrid solution in one.

I know how configure it (ap, client etc

As you can see here https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/220124

I wanted to do a reverse thing, Having a AEP225 as acces point and a CPE510 as client on the meteo station as in figure...you think is possible??

Oneother thing to consider is this, I have nothing in the middle, the two antennas will see face by face, but around I have some three like this:

I will have problems?

@Forna91fi

EAP should work with CPE without problem, but they are not in the same height, so just make sure to adjust the angel to make them has the best signal.

These parameters are in the datasheet.

And TP-Link says something about clear Fresnel zone, here is the link just for your reference, I'm not a specialist in these theoretical things, lol

@Virgo thank you so much, yes I think I will need to find the right angle for the cpe510.

The obstacle are only in the near the antennas in the middle there's nothing...I will try thank, you so much!
