I don't see anything available right now, so this is maybe a "feature request" of sorts.  Is there any plan from TP-Link to release a small 5-8 port switch that is PoE POWERED that can also be managed using Omada?  This would be similar to the Unifi Switch Flex Mini - or the HP 1820-8G.

Before switching to Omada I had a few of the Unifi Switch Flex Mini.  The ability to have a PoE powered small switch with management from the controller for areas like my entertainment center or office was very convenent, and saved a wall-wart power adapter.

@shberge

Awesome - thank you, exactly what I am looking for.  They really bury that feature in there - it's not obvious that it's POE powered.  T1500G-8T also appears to be POE powered but not Omada managed.

Now I just need to find the 2008v3 in stock somewhere!

@WackyWRZ1

I purchased a 2008v3 a few days ago and it is in-fact a T1500G-8T v2.0  (even says so on the printed box and barcode :( )... I can verify it connects to the cloud controller no problem after upgrading to the latest firmware. (I used the firmare from https://www.tp-link.com/au/support/download/t1500g-8t/#Firmware) And it's definitely possible to PoE power it, port 8 has a "PD Port" label on the physical switch and I've run it from a 2008P to test.

Phsically, it has T1500G-8T printed on front case.

It doesn't automatically grab an IP via DHCP like the 2008P and 2218 on the default T1500G-8T firmware, so be aware that you have to manually connect to it at 192.168.0.1 to upload the latest firmware (before adopting it on your controller)

I do find it worrying that TP link says it's a sg2008v3 yet they know it's a T1500G-8T, no idea what that means for future firmware updates.
