Hu Gyus,

I have following issue:

1. I run windows controller v4.3.5  with my notebook connected to my network via wifi

2. EAP235 lost connection

3. wifi is down until I connect my nb via lan cable

Is this standard ?

what i do wrong?

do I need to have NB/PC to network via lan cable ?

Is there any configuration to be change to stop this issue with wifi?

thanks guys

P

@pcan

As long as the EAP235 is powered and configured it should be sending out a wifi signal. The controller does not need to be available for the EAP235 to work. If the EAP235 stops transmitting a wifi signal for some other reason (internal fault or lost power) then your laptop would disconnect.  Are you connecting your PC to the EAP235 port via cable after losing wifi connection and what are you doing to restore the wifi signal?

@1207

Thanks for answer, here is the scenario:

I have installed

A) tp-link tl-sg1008p

B) 2x EAP235 connected via PoE to tp-link tl-sg1008p

C) No local HW controller like OC200, OC300

Then

1) I start my laptop connect to my wifi.

2) Run omanada controller windows v4.3.5

3) Open browser and suddenly wifi is lost and looks like wifi module in EAP235 is restarting

4) Omada says Adopting but process never ends until i connect my laptop via lan cable to my network

5) after laptop connect to network via lan cable Omada do configure and provision of EAP235

6) after while wifi is back and can be used.

I can repeat this scenario anytime.

Is this standard ?

Controller v4.2.11 had no issue like this.
