Hi community, I have a really specific outdoor setup that I need to achieve. I would like to confirm this is possible before investing in the equipment.

Here is an illustration of the verticality: (please ignore the proportions)

  • Green - Area that should be covered by Wifi

  • Red - Currently problematic area (mostly dead zone atm)

  • Red Crosshair - Wooden tower two stories high

  • Ridge - Small hillside that is 2-5 meters above the tower

The plan is to put an EAP110 Outdoor that would cover the green area (flat until the ridge) and on top of the ridge point a CPE210 at the EAP and have another router on the ridge. Will this work? I know that CPE is rated for much longer distances. I am open to any suggestion the only limitation is we can't run cabling up the Ridge and the budget is around 150$.

I also have an old WR841N V9, can I use that to repeat the EAP signal with the WDS bridge (omitting the CPE which is an overkill for 100m)?

Speed is not a priority no.1, as the primary use is a stable local network (for syncing).

Thank you in advance.
