Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.7.0

I have a single EAP225 connected to Omada controller software running on a PC.  I want to add at least 1 or 2 more EAP to extend coverage and provide fast roaming. Should I stay with EAP225 or use EAP245 for more bandwidth? Can you mix and match or do they all need to be the same?

Secondly, if I decide to use an actual Omada controller at a later date, can I transfer the programming over form the PC version?

Dear @norclo,

We can mix them for fast roaming, and you could choose the EAP as you like. At present, EAP225_V3, EAP225-Outdoor_V1 and EAP245_V3 support 802.11k/V Fast Roaming feature. Please read this FAQ for more detail about the Fast Roaming feature.

Secondly, if I decide to use an actual Omada controller at a later date, can I transfer the programming over form the PC version?

No worries, you can transfer by referring to the following FAQ:

How to migrate the configuration files from Omada Software Controller into OC200?
