I want to attach a wired Tp-Link TL-ER6020 VPN router using the LAN ports to my Virgin Media Wifi Router  to connect directly to my VPN provider using PPTP?

 

What you want is to use the ER6020 as a VPN client to work with other VPN server provider. Well, I learned it from tplink support, TP-link routers don't support most of third-part VPN Server Provider like Nord VPN and Express VPN...which usually uses encrypted VPN connection. So I may not suggest that unless your VPN provider allows a VPN router to connect without encrypted info. Good Luck!

Thank you for your message. In fact I was looking at it wrongly. Instead I bought a home wireless router that supports PPTP as WAN therefore negating the need for something more poweful that was oriented towards businesses' needs

The TP-Link Archer C7 will be used as a sole VPN router since I will turn off the wifi for the reason that Virgin Media is already providing me with a Wifi Router. 

Coincidently I looked at TL-ER6020 and although it is intereting and also more oriented towards setting up VPN clients/servers.

I saved £100 by purchasing TP-Link Archer C7
