Model: CPE510
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.2.0 Build 20190125 Rel. 36276
hello everyone, I have a big problem with CPE510 version 3, after a few days the device has the radio part that no longer works, I tried to reset the device several times and to update the firmware but nothing solves. Now before sending the device under warranty I purchased another device, same hardware version and from the same seller, with almost consecutive serial line, and after a day I found that the wifi part again stopped going, after a restart and broken down, isn't there a lot of defective serials?

@AndreaGU, can't second that with my CPE510 v3. What's the environment you are using the CPE in? E.g. what power supply? The included PoE adapter? Stable mains power? Is the device grounded properly? Settings saved after applying? Can you still connect to the web UI?

@R1D2

thanks for reply, i am using on both sides 2 cpe510 with the original power supplies, the network is not giving any problem to the existing wifi antenna of another brand, the web page gui is always available i never had a problem entering, the only detail, that every time I enter after the problem, 80% of the times I find the button to save the settings. For the grounding I wanted to understand if the shielded f / utp cable is enough or I must install a grounding cable connected to the antenna.

@AndreaGU, SF/UTP cable is good enough for grounding, yes. In the past, few user had an issue with unstable mains power which could initiate a reset through the PoE adapter. After a reset, the WLAN of a CPE disappears and will be enabled only in default AP mode after changing the login credentials. However, I for myself did never experience a loss of the WLAN during normal operation.

So maybe you can describe more precisely what happens actually? Do you have a PtP link between the two CPEs? When you say the WLAN disappears, do you mean the link drops? Or is the radio turned off completely and no WLAN visible in the WLAN survey performed on the client CPE (not smartphone!)?

@R1D2

yes I confirm, the connection is PtP, after a few hours or in some cases even after 12 hours, the bridge falls, connecting on the AP I have confirmation of no client connected and the signal is no longer emitted and detected by the cpe put in mode client. Only after a restart of the AP does everything go back up.
I enabled the Ping Watch Dog on the client's IP so that after a check it reboots but let's say it's not the best situation.
