Hi,

I just purchased a desktop switch TL-SF1005D. I bought it to extend my wired network. I connected my desktop, notebook and my cable modem to it. At any one time, I can
access the internet using either the desktop or the notebook but not both simultaneously. Is this normal for a desktop switch? I had hoped to access the internet on both devices
simultaneously to allow multiple users to browse the web at the same time.

On both my network maps, I can see that both computers are interconnected in the network by the switch but only the computer with the internet access shows an additional
connection to the cable modem and beyond to the internet.

Anybody out there who might be able to help? There is really nothing to configure on the switch. Thanks,
regards
Matthew

You need to put a router between the SF1005D and your cable modem...
