The logging in general seems very basic with the system, some more verbose and informative logging would be useful as it helps to diagnose problems with clients sometimes. Its usual to have a selection of logging level, so you have a choice of how much information is logged.

The output to a syslog server seems very limited, less than what appears in the system screens.

Would really benefit from som work here I think.
