Model: TL-SG1005P
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version:

Good morning from Germany,

we recently installed a CPE510 antenna and connected it with a 15m Cat6 cable to said switch. Unfortunately it doesn't turn on. What we confirmed so far:

- cable works with other devices

- CPE510 isn't faulty

- CPE510 does turn on with the provided PoE power connector

- it doesn't work on any port, even if it's the only one connected

- my IP-Phone works flawlessly in any port

What we tried:

- use another cable

- reboot the switch

- tried all ports

- tried the Power PoE connector (works)

We can't think of any reason why it still isn't working. The power of the PoE switch should be more than enough and 15m is far below the 100m threshold.

Edit:

Useful mentions that came to me just now:

- the PoE Max led isn't lighting up

- there is no light at the port where CPE510 is plugged in, none at all

Could it just be that the the specs of those devices don't match so the CPE510 can't be used?

CPE510 uses passive PoE (24 Volts). Passive PoE is not compatible with IEEE 802.3af PoE switches such as the TL-SG1005P (48 Volts).

You are lucky.... almost your CPE is not fried! I have 4 pairs of CPE510 working, each of them with the provided PoE inyector you must use it or change your switch to a PoE Passive (24V) compliant.
