T2500G-10TS VLAN VPN (QinQ) problem
T2500G-10TS VLAN VPN (QinQ) problem

Model : T2500G-10TS

Hardware Version : T2500G-10TS 1.0

Firmware Version : 1.0.0 Build 20170411 Rel.32895(s)

ISP : irrelevant

I have a problem with my newly bought T2500G-10TS smart switch. I am unable to use the VLAN VPN option with only a few modifications to the default configuration. What I have configure is a new VLAN, assigned a port to this VLAN and made it the management VLAN. So this is what I have added to the default configuration:

#
vlan 199
#
vlan 199
name "Infrastructure"
#
...
#
interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/7
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan 199
#
...
#
ip management-vlan 199
interface vlan 199
ip address 192.168.199.111 255.255.255.0 192.168.199.1
#

After applying the above configuration I enable the VLAN VPN Mode, which goes OK, but when I select port 1 as the VPN up-link port I can no longer access the switch's management interface in any way. Please advise if this is a bug and if it is provide a solution for it.

Hi
According to your configuration, the management vlan be changed to vlan 199,now only the member belongs to vlan 199 are able to access the web interface of switch.
Please confirm these ports belongs to vlan 199 firstly.

Of course, I understand that. I mentioned that I have configured port G1/0/7 in the following way:
#
interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/7
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan 199
#

On this port I have a trunk connection with another switch. Before applying the QinQ settings the T2500G-10TS switch can be successfully accessed on its management interface, therefore the VLAN settings are OK.

I tried configuring the switch the other way around. On a freshly reset switch I first enabled VLAN VPN mode and assigned port 1 as the VPN up-link port. This worked fine and the switch's management interface was still accessible. Then I created a new VLAN 199 and assigned port G1/0/7 to it in trunk mode. The moment I changed the management VLAN to 199 with my chosen address, the switch stopped responding. It appears that the problem happens when QinQ is used with a non-default management VLAN (different than VLAN 1).
