Model : EAP225

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version :

ISP :

Frustrated with spotty wifi coverage of the entire house with ever more powerful single wifi routers, or the poor quality and performance degradation of repeaters, I am trying to use two EAP225 attached to the same wired ethernet Linksys router 'subnet'. My understanding is that I should set them up using same SSID and shared keys, but with different channels. Are there any other settings that would help seemless roaming of wireless devices (primarily smart phones and tablets)? Roaming information specific to our AP is surprisingly hard to find for me on the internet.

Wireless roaming is part of the WiFi negotiation process described in IEEE 802.11. It's so self-evident that you won't find much about it on the Web.

RE your question: no, there are no other settings which can improve SSID-based roaming, but if you deploy two EAPs nearby, set a fixed channel width of 20 MHz in the 2.4 GHz band and leave enough distance between the two channels for the EAPs (at least 5 channels in mixed b/g/n mode).
