Good evening,

we are living in France on a domaine far from the adsl central. Our maximum download speed is around 20kb/s with Orange. Now I also installed a sattelite dish and it also goes till 25kb/s. Is it possible to combine these 2 connections so they are usable at the same time ? I read in the documentation that the L&B routers are choosing which connection is the best at that moment, but I want to combine them.

Load balancing is not Link Aggregation. For the latter not only you would need to combine the two feeds, but both ISPs (Orange and your satellite ISP) would need to aggregate the two links on their side, too. Long story short: You can't use load balancing routers to do link aggregation.

So if I buy a TL-link R470T+ it will not speed up my internet connection if I use 2 totaly different providers ? Why does TP link then put it on the website ?

So if I buy a TL-link R470T+ it will not speed up my internet connection if I use 2 totaly different providers ? Why does TP link then put it on the website ?

Of course it does speed up your Internet connection for the whole network or for separate sessions on one device, but not for a single session as you did ask originally for in:

Using different connections at the same time would be Link Aggregation. Using different connections by different sessions to balance the total load is Load Balancing. The R470+ does the latter. If you want to combine the lines to balance load, it will work.
