350 Mbps is NAT throughput according to specs, nothing more. I'm sure it has been measured with professional speed tests in the lab. The real throughput which can be achieved in real live depends on many factors, where configuration of the router and therefore handling of the packets is an important factor. Downloading a file (which is pretty much the same as how web speed tests work) is not a professional speed test, but of course it's the average daily use, which is much more important for the user than any test in the lab, no question.

Long story short: to handle 300 Mbps throughput you should use a router which much bigger capacity to ensure it does not even reach the limits of just NAT throughput. Maybe you could achieve a better throughput than 150 Mbps with a minimal configuration of the TL-ER6120, but I would not bet on it.

AFAIK all devices of the professional line sold after March, 1st 2013 have a (limited) lifetime guarantee, this includes SafeStream VPN routers such as the TL-ER6120.
