Hello all, i need your help for a strange issue that i have with two identical devices, two EAP110. I updated them to the latest firmware when i pulled them out of the box, then i have configured the first one with a static IP (192.168.1.2) and a SSID with a password with a output power of 26 dBm. Ok, that's what I want. So i want to configure the second one. And the troubles begins... It does not permit to change the output power, it hangs to 20 dBm maximum, and (most important) it does not permit me to change the IP to static (192.168.1.3) instead of dynamic, every time i try to, with a reboot too, even the interface seems to get te IP that I assign to it correctly (i verify it with tools like Fing), browser can not access to AP, and gives me "connection refused" error. Why AP gives me back these errors? why i cannot access? There is some setting that i can give to set the output power to more than 20 dBm, like the first one? I think that i give the same settings to both of them. I hope that someone can help me.

Sorry for my bad english, and thanks to you all!!

Hi jerrino77,

The EAP product shipped to Italy is pre-installed EU version firmware, and according to CE certification, the transmitting power is 20dBm max.
You can try to reset all your EAP110 and upgrade the latest firmware on http://www.tp-link.com/en (160405)and reset again.
You can also try to use another web browser to open the management page and when you configure the second EAP110, you can disconnect the first EAP110.

Thanks for your reply @Saber, so, why do you think i am able to modify one of them in one way and not the other one? I have updated both of them with the SAME FILE, downloaded from the official file, i bought both togheter from the same shop, so i think they are identical. But the one with 26 dBm permits me to modify all, even the IP address, the other no. Weird, no?

There is a bug in the EAPs showing still maximum of 26 dBm right after upgrading to the EU firmware. After a reboot, it correctly will show 20 dBm. If you use EU firmware, maximum allowed EIRP is 20 dBm. Check wether it still shows 26 dBm after the reboot - if so, it's not running the EU firmware.
