Model :

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version :

ISP :

We bought this product TP-Link MC100CM Version 3.1.
But for our applicatioon, we have a min power supply of 5-6 Volt.
I tried to find in instruction Manual which supply ran can be used, but it was only written that we need to use the power supply they sent (which is 9v),
Can someone inform me if its possible with 5-6 Volt? or do i need a step up DC converter?

thank you

Hi, the current and the voltage of a adapter means the max current and the standard output voltage it can support. Actually, if you want to replace the adapter of a product, you must make sure the voltage be same with the old one.

Yes I am concern with that. But we just have a power of 6VDC in our test system.
Before I start designing a step up to 9VDC, I want to know if it will work as well with 6VDC.

According to the data sheet, it should work:

External Power Adapter, 9V/0.6A or 5V/1A

See http://static.tp-link.com/resources/document/TL-MC1400_V2_Datasheet.pdf, search for MC100CM, Specifications->Power Supply.

But better try it before deploying the MC100CM in your test system.

ooo that is very helpful... in the package we got completely different datasheet. The information was only that we should use the power supply we have in package.
Thank you R1D2...
i will try it as well. Hope it works
