TL-SG2008 V1 Firmware Update Does Not Apply

I recently purchased a new TL-SG2008 V1 smart switch. I'm attempting to flash the firmware to the latest released version (24/06/15), however the changes are not taking effect. After selecting the BIN file and clicking upgrade via the web interface, part of the UI page turns blank but the switch never reboots. The LEDs on the front of the unit VERY briefly flash, then return to normal. After a few minutes, I open the UI again in a different tab and see that the firmware version has not changed. It seems that the switch isn't even attempting to update. I also tried this with the firmware that was released on 03/02/15 (one revision up from what I have installed), yet I get the same result. I've tried this using Chrome and Firefox both while internet connectivity is disabled. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
