Model :

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version :

ISP :

I have one of these outdoor units that I tried to do a firmware upgrade on. All firmware that was on the unit and what I was upgrading it to was TP-Link firmware. And no this u it has never been dabbled with dd-wrt etc.

Since the firmware upgrade it was unresponsive for quite sometime. I left it overnight just in case. In the morning I power cycled it. It does absolutely nothing now. Power light comes on and that's it. Is there a way to rescue this device? I realize it is a older unit but would like to try.

I have also pulled it appart and see it has a 4 pin header that's not populated. I am assuming this is a serial port? If so, I do have a serial adapter and skills to connect this way if need be.

May also be worth mentioning.... this is version 1.1 of this model. And I have 2 of these devices in total. The other unit I had flashed with the same firmware first with firmware without any issue.

Model # WA5210G
SN # 10980200127
Firmware build # 130502

Thanks everyone in advance.

Hi, and thank you for your help. I have come across that thread while googling. Unfortunately my device is 100% tp link, the firmware aswell. I have not flashed it with ubnt, so I do not have these prompts. I can and have established a serial link to the device at 32800 baud which is the tp link speed.

When it goes to boot it is in an endless repeating loop last all of 8sec. No human understandable text is presented - as in the correct baud and characters displayed but they appear to be like load addresses. I can try to get a screenshot if that would help.

Thanks again for your guidance

Yes I adjusted my baud rate accordingly. But the firmware is different that what the thread is using to flash with - suspect different process required.

of course is a different firmware, that e.g. is of a 7510, you need to download the proper firmware for your device, that is a 5210
most Tp-Link devices unbrick with that process, the only thing it changes is the firmware
strange post coming from you.
