Here's the scenario, I have two buildings I am trying to connect. I have a router in the building I have Internet access in. I have my tp link set up in the second building and a router connected to it. The tp link sees my first router and if I connect directly to the tp link when it is set in AP client mode I have Internet.

When I introduce the router to the tp link and try and set up both wireless and wired connections it all falls apart. Am I doing something that can't be done? I believe the problem is the configuration of the router. What router settings are needed?

The tp link is set as AP in client mode and has an IP address of 192.168.1.254
The router that is broadcasting to the tp link has an IP address of 192.168.1.1
The second router is on 192.168.2.1. Was configured for a dynamic connection but will not pull a wan IP from the tp link.

Please help i don't want to invest in running a cable between my buildings when I have the hardware already.

Thanks in advance.

So your topology is: internet——router_1)))))))(((((((TL-WA5210G——router_2
Did you enable DHCP server in router_1? If not, enable it.
Besides, it's better to configure router_2 to be an AP.

Yes that's how it is set up. OK anything besides configuring it as an AP?

Just as I've said in #2, check if the DHCP server in router_1 is enable. If yes but the WAN port of router_2 still couldn't get IP, you should suspect if the wireless connection is not working.
Do the below test:
router_1)))))((((((TL-WA5210G——PC
Ping router_1 on PC to see if the wireless connection is built.
