TL-WA901ND has 3 antennas, and is a SOHO device, that antenna is meant for a CPEs 5210 or 7210, idont buy those models
buy a CPE210 it does not support and does not need external antenna, has the power you are looking for.
it would be better if you post your needs, what you wabt to accomplish

As danymarc suggested, buy a TL-WA7210. But you could also use the TL-ANT2415D together with the 7210 to increase the area for the wifi signal: just connect the antenna to the 7210 and select "external antenna". Connect the 7210 by wire (or wirelessly when using the ANT2415D) with the TL-WA901ND. This way, you could cover a much broader wifi cell. I would give it a try.

to Danymarc your response seems ominous would you please expand on it, as I realize now I went into this rather stupidly and any help to sort out what I need to do the job would be great

ok you have a Omni you bought the wrong antenna, sale it
Post wjhat you want to accomplish, want to receive internet, share internet, Hotspot style, I dont know your needs
but it would be a mistake to buy a old device, when now you have the new Pahros line

as I said I went into this stupidly. I have a large garden which I would like internet access over from my network at the edge its around 500 meters away from our house. my parents have a house a little further away but there is a row of houses between us but if possible I would like them to share our internet. what would you recommend to do this if its possible please
