IP subnet on LAN1 connection CPE510

First post, so new to the forum.
I was intending to utilise the LAN1 connection on each of the CPE510 units I have for a separate LAN (i.e. a different subnet).
I seem to be having problems as soon as I connect the LAN1 port.
I think the CPE510 may not be able to achieve what I am trying to do, as there is only one IP address structure available at setup, however I will ask anyway as I cannot seem to resolve it by testing.
I want to put my 192.168.23.xx structure through LAN0, and have got everything working well with this.
I then want to run another LAN such as 192.168.1.xx via LAN1 on each end and have them linked.
I am thinking now that the LAN1 is merely another connection of the main subnet, rather than a separate 'pipe' to cross the gap.
Perhaps I need a solution similar to Draytek's LANA and LANB on some of their APs.
If anyone can clarify how LAN1 can be utilised, that would be appreciated.

I guess what you mean is the below scenario, is it right?
If I get the right meaning, you can add a VLAN switch like this:
And apply management VLAN function to achieve your goal.
But before that, you have to upgrade to the beta firmware:
