TL-SF1005D link with Cisco cable modem failure
Model :
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version :
ISP :
My brother has a Cisco DCP3000 cable modem (Comcast) connected to Asus RT-N66R wireless router for his home network, PC (Win10) connected to the router
When we put a TL-SF1005D switch between the cable modem and the router, and connected the PC to the switch, nothing works.
We power cycled and everything but no luck.
The change was to improve WiFi by repositioning the access point (wireless router).
The Cisco DCP3000 modem is supposed to allow up to 64 clients when using a switch.
Cannot tell if modem DHCP is not working or the switch is not working, could use a little advice, please... .. .
