I had trouble setting up vlans to worksimilar to your example in faq-329. In that example a vlan5 is madeto be common across all, and then just the port to the router hasthat as its pvid, so all the other ports can get to the router. Thistp-link switch (SG2452) was bought to replace a netgear switch. Inthe netgear switch I could use the default vlan1 as the common vlan.So in your example there would have been no need for a vlan5. Justmake port 1 a member of vlans 3 & 4, but set it to pvid 1. Irecreated that setup on your switch and it didn't work. I had to makeanother vlan that all ports were a member of and then set the routerto have that for its pvid. Is that right? That vlan1 can't really beused as the common vlan? That it apparently behaves differently?
