Model: EAP650
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2

Note, the question is about the EAP650-Desktop(EU) NOT about the EAP650, it does not exist as model in that forum..

Hello,

The Access Point  EAP650-Desktop(EU) has a analogue RJ11 port in it, which I wanted to use for my T38 Fax device.. now the question is do I need to configure for the Access Point NAT Forwarding rules, that it can access the [Deutsche] Telekom servers? Since mine always says "state unknown" on the telephone number..

The reason why I'm asking is because I already have a SIP gateway running that is why I can't really test that. Maybe someone already had something similar.

Thanks for helping

Hi  @Julian2111

EAPs operate purely at Layer 2 and do not support NAT configuration. These settings should be implemented on your NAT-enabled device (typically your router).

Hi  @Julian2111

Do you mean configure port forwarding for the EAP on your router? You may have a try anyway.

In the port forwarding config, EAP IP is the client.

Hi,

Sorry for my bad expression, I know that my question was more does the AP need port forwarding to get access to my providers SIP server?

Thank you very much that worked, I just wasn't sure does the SIP part somehow the controller or the router or the AP but it was the AP thanks
