Region : UnitedStates

Model : TL-ER5120

Hardware Version : V2

Firmware Version :

ISP :

On the TL-ER5120 is it possible to do an upstream check on the WAN interface. The situation i have is when my TimeWarner ISP fails i still get a 192.168.100.1 from my cable modem and i have to manually shut that WAN interface down to force it to my Windstream ISP. Is there a way to either do an upstream check to the ISP or when the interface gets the 192.168.100.1 IP to force it to utilize my Windstream ISP?

Seems impossible.
As I know, PPPOE offers a keep alive mechanism, never heard this on DHCP.

I have a very similar issue. I am using the TL-R470 on a boat. WAN 1 is a T-mobile cell modem and WAN 2 is a wireless access point set up in client mode. When the boat is in the marina, the wireless AP is conencted to the marina wireless system and WAN 2 is the primary interface. However, when the boat leaves the marina, the wireless AP obviously looses connection and the router should fail over to WAN 1. However, it still sees WAN 2 as alive since the wireless AP is still giving it a link, even though there is no Internet on that link.

Is there a solution to this problem? I want to run all traffic over WAN 2 when in the marina but have it default back to WAN 1 when there is no Internet detected on WAN 2.
