I have a TL-SG105E (not listed as a model number)
Getting the error message "Host IP address and switch IP address must be on the same subnet"; however, I set the switch subnet to DHCP and it was assigned an IP address
recognized by my router. What do I need to do here?

It's not necessary. One problem will be with manage switch from another subnet.

I'm sorry, but I am trying to log into the switch utility's management program to change settings in the switch itself, so it is necessary.
Utility screen:
Wired, Ethernet:
Wireless, note the subnet

Yes, I told about it. It's necessary when you want to manage your switch.

The answer: if you have two network cards, like I do, you must only be connected via Ethernet which is plugged into the device. Once I disabled my wireless connection, I was able to connect.

I also have never got that utility to work with the same incorrect error message.
Just log straight on to the switch with its ip address using your web browser and set it up that way.
