Hello,

I recently configured a PPTP server and the following error message occurred. Any feedback or assistance would be appreciated.

The remote connection was not made because the attempted VPN tunnels failed. The VPN server might be unreachable. If this connection is attempting to use an L2TP/IPsec tunnel, the security parameters required for IPsec negotiation might not be configured properly.

Ron, provide your topology.
There is instruction about how to configure PPTP server. Try to check your configuration step by step.

Thanks Vivian! Now I have another problem. I am getting error 628 The connection was terminated by remote computer before it could be completed. I configured windows firewalls inbound and outbound to allow VPN traffic and turned off firewalls(Norton). Not sure what to do. Please help.

The error occurs when you Connect VPN Connection? There are many search results about error 628 online....
Are you sure you are using correct username and password?
WAN IP on router page is a public one?
