Firmware Version: 1.1.10

Hello,

my router ip is 192.168.0.1

When i adopt a new switch by default omada controller gives 192.168.0.1 ip and i have network problem.

When i setup a new switch before connect it with omada and i give switch 192.168.0.103  omada controller after adoption replace the ip with 192.168.0.1

Is there any way to adopt a new switch in omada controller without taking 192.168.0.1 ip ?

Thank you very much.

Hi @MihalisK

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

How come when the switch is getting a DHCP IP from the DHCP server if you have connected one?

The switch will be using the DHCP IP all the time during the adoption and discovery.

Are you sure you are on the right track for adoption?

Or you have any special settings on the controller, this site?

What to do if Omada Device Adoption Failure

The controller does not manage DHCP, it just tells the router (if you have one) what DHCP ranges should be - its the router that hands out DHCP

The router should NOT be handing out an IP address that is in use, especially its own.  Is this an omada router you have?  Also, possible you have another DHCP server somewhere on the network?

I never see this issue at all
