Model: EAP773
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2

I have setup a Swtich Profile for my different WIFI networks with VLANS. How do I apply a profile to a non omada Switch ? How do I feed the Vlans through a single port on my swtich when you can only apply one PVID to a port ?

Hi  @johngalt

Is the non omada Switch a TP-Link switch?

You can refer to the following guides to configure VLAN settings on the switch:

How to configure 802.1Q VLAN on Smart and Managed switches using the new GUI

  @Vincent-TP  I know how to configure VLANS on my  TL-SG1016PE. What I dont understand is if my AP773 is on Lan1 and I need to pass Vlan information from my omada router how do I set it up to accept various Vlans on a single port on my swtich. All the examples show creating a profile and configuring the swtich within omada. I dont have an omada switch.

Hi,

maybe this could help:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/788/

Switch to 802.1Q VLAN

i.e.:

For Lan1:

PVID=VLAN1

Untagged=VLAN1

Getting the EAP reachable and default LAN for first SSID.

Create...

VLAN2

VLAN3

and even more VLANs...and set them tagged to Lan1 to support creating additional SSIDs at the EAP.

So with VLAN 802.1Q you will get different tagged network packages serialized at the port (simplyfied figure):

______________________________________________________

.....->| package VLAN3 | package VLAN2 | package VLAN1|......->

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi  @johngalt

Did you get the VLAN works with diddi's help?

If not, please share a screenshot of the VLAN config of the EAP's profile, and let me know how the switch connect with the EAP and the router, I will show you how to configure the VLANs on the switch.
